Army wives have been cast as candidates for the upcoming OCP and have been invited to the screening of the movie, titled Army Wives Cast in the OCP, in which they will be portraying wives of the US Army, in New York City on February 26, 2018.
The film, which has been directed by the former Army Chief of Staff General James Cartwright, was a huge hit at the box office, raking in more than $300 million worldwide.
While the film was nominated for an Academy Award, the nominations were not unanimous, with the only winning nominee being director Robert Rodriguez’s El Chapo: The Warm-Up, which won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 2017.
The Army wives are also expected to be in the lead role in the new Army OCR.
The upcoming OCR will be the first to include female officers and enlisted members from the US military.
The OCP is a major overhaul of the Army, overhauling the way the service looks and functions and changing the way that personnel are paid, the Department of Defense (DoD) said.
It is the first time in its 40-year history that the Army has had more than one female officer and enlisted member, according to the DoD.
The female officers will also play roles in training, medical services and operations.
The OCP will be available to viewers on February 28, 2018 at the Pentagon.
